1970 Morris Mini Cooper S (MK2)

This MK2 Australian Cooper S is one of approximately 2,500 built, currently offered here on Ebay. The seller has entered an asking price of $35,000 (AUD), which is certainly not the highest we've seen in recent times. Although we haven't got any images of the data plate or body stampings, the seller notes it is a matching numbers car. Finished in Camino Gold all over, an original colour option on the MK2, it looks to be in very good condition inside and out, perhaps fully restored in the recent past.

The MK2 Cooper S was introduced in 1969, and received several modifications following the MK1 series cars, such as a full synchromesh gearbox, flared wheel arches, slightly revised dashboard and steering wheel (among other minor changes). The MK2 was eventually replaced by the Clubman GT in 1971.
