Although far from they heydays of american muscle cars some cars such as the Chevrolet Corvette still managed to turn heads throughout the varuious models it released. The owner at the end of 2016 was selling this car for $13,000 USD and had the following to say:

Selling my beautiful 1981 low mileage corvette, this car is a true original survivor.  It is a great color combination with the black exterior and silver interior.  I have been the caretaker of this amazing car for the last 6+ years, but it is time to move on to something new.  I am the fourth owner of the car and have lots of documentation that goes back to the first owner.  It is a numbers matching L81 motor (last year of a carbureted corvette) with the rare 4 speed manual transmission (last year of a 4 speed manual corvette, only 5,575 of the 40,606 produced had the 4 speed.)  This corvette was also one off the last to roll of the line at the old St. Louis assembly plant before production moved to Bowling Green.  It was sold new at Bob Novick Chevrolet in Bridgeton, NJ.  This corvette currently has 67,955 original miles on the odometer.  It drives fantastic with no issues.  I don’t drive it in the winter and will start it and let it run about every two weeks. 

Interior – The interior is Silver Metallic with leather seat.  It is all original (except for aftermarket CD stereo) and very clean.  The carpets are in good shape as are the original floor mats.  The seats do show some wear and a few small tears as you can imagine with a 35-year-old car.  Everything works, all gauges, power windows, power seat, power locks, power antennae, everything.  The interior is very clean.  I have the original T-top bags (they look new) and owner’s manual.

Exterior – The black paint on this car shines as you can see in the pictures.  This is an original car with 35-year-old paint, so there are chips, scratches, and flaws.  There is stone/road wear.  The car looks great from about 15 feet, but you can see the flaws when you get close.  The mirrored t-tops are in great shape.  The original wheels are perfect and tires are like new.  There is absolutely no rust anywhere on this car.  It has been garage kept its whole life, as is evident by the condition that it is in.  I have never driven this car in the rain.  Again, this is an all original car.

Mechanically – Mechanically this car is perfect.  It runs perfect and I would drive it anywhere.  There are no leaks.  I have replaced all fluids and gone over all the systems in the car.  Air conditioning blows cold.  I have done a lot of work to the car from a mechanical standpoint to keep it in perfect running condition.  I did put a true dual exhaust system from Corvette Central with Magnaflow mufflers.  It gave the car a great deal more power and that V-8 rumble sounds fantastic.  I have the original exhaust (catalytic converter and mufflers) that come with the car if you want to put them back on.  I have the original build sheet from the gas tank.  Again, this car is perfect mechanically.
