Just re-listed on Ebay after passing in at $14,000 - The very last year of the "Fox" body Mustang was quite special, with the release of the Cobra in limited edition numbers. The Cobra "R" is by far the most desirable version, but this standard Cobra is one of only 4,993 built, and these versions still pull good money above their standard GT counterparts. These cars were powered by a uniquely tweaked 5.0L Windsor V8 producing 175kw, linked to an upgraded 5-speed Borg-Warner T-5 transmission. The Cobras' also received rear disc brakes, and Tokico suspension. From the outside, the cars are immediately identifiable by their 17 inch wheels, which we think really emphasize the car's sporting stance. Other more subtle styling changes include the Cobra badges, and restricted paint options (Vibrant Red, Teal Metallic or Black).

This particular car is optioned in Vibrant Red, and the seller notes that the car received a professional repaint by the previous owner. This car was purchased from California before being shipped to NY, and the seller further confirmed that all vin tags are in place and it also had an engine rebuild back to factory specs by a Radical autosports in California. The Grey factory leather front seats have been recently re-trimmed and are in excellent condition with no wear. The car comes with its original SVT certificate, and is believed to have no rust at all.

Asking $14,000 USD, the seller just re-listed the car here on Ebay in February 2017, following the car passing-in at auction. We've certainly seen better examples, and prices tend to be a little higher, with an immaculate example added to our register asking $34,500 (USD) - see that Mustang Cobra here. We're a little bit surprised this example passed in, but perhaps it shows there are better offers out there, and we'll keep an eye on the market in future.
