This is Sea Owl, a 1963 Gentleman's Cruiser, and it has fantastic lines so we just had to add it to the register.. It was advertised on Grays online in early 2023, and sold for less than 10K (needed a bit of TLC), but in my opinion, represents a bargain classic timber boat with HUGE potential. Its 12.4m long, with a 4m beam and a 1.4m draft.. The hull shape is very proud, and in the bow it looks like there is plenty of living space! What a classic.. Sadly, some weeks after seeing this sell at auction, the boat sunk and was advertised on Facebook Marketplace as needing to be towed to a location, asking just $1,500. Hope someone saves it, but obviously it's in need of a little TLC.. See the last image of the boat in the gallery, showing it washed up on Dangar.. :(
