1972 Leyland Mini Clubman GT

This very well preserved Clubman GT was spotted on Ebay Australia in February 2018. The car retains most of its original parts according to the seller, and is "numbers correct' example.

The seller confirmed at the time that the car has rebuilt brakes (ie master cyl, booster, front calipers new rear wheel cyls all rubber brake lines replaced and new discs and pads fitted). All wheel bearings were replaced and ball jonits. Suspension is still hydro and holds pressure and rides well.

Engine was pulled down and freshened up ie rings, cam bearings, crank bearings, oil pump, cam followers, timing chain serviced head, water pump and all new gasket and seals plus radiator hoses replaced and radiator cleaned. Engine still has the standard GT cam and head with oil cooler and correct hoses still fitted. Gearbox was inspected and layshaft replaced and bearings and correct close ratio gears are still fitted.

Correct carbys and air box fitted with 3 way y peace. cabys have had a rebuild new shafts, butterflies jets and needle and seats and all new fuel lines plus gaskets. Body of car is in fair condition with a small amont of rust in left A panel and the paint is faded it could do with a paint or leave it as is. trim is the very rare kidskin basket weave repaded seats and GT gear knob and correct speedo and tachometer.
