1988 Nissan Skyline R31 Silhouette GTS1 (SVD)

This is an Australian special edition Nissan Skyline R31, known as the GTS1 Silhouette - this one was on Gumtree Australia in mid 2016. Only 200 of these sedans were produced, and all GTS1 cars were painted white. Some of the visually distinguishing features of the car included 16" white powder coated 11 spoke wheels, rear spoiler, unique SVD / Silhouette decals and sports cloth interior - along with the unique badging. This car is number 172 of the 200 produced.

Advertised for $3,500 on Facebook in end May 2017, this is car number 172 of 200 built.

At the time of sale the car was unregistered but is in a running condition. The seller described it as not the cleanest around - rust in the door (they provided a replacement door), and the bootlid has a little rust in it too (replacement also provided). It was described as mechanically its solid, having its original bilsteins (springs are kings brand but they are so close to the original rates and it still drives the same). The engine was described as still good, and the gearbox is a good condition 32 turbo box no crunches or grinds, heavy duty exedy clutch and lightweight flywheel. Aircon still works. The original stereo and steering wheel have been re-fitted to the car, and it has the original books plus the extra SVD books, also the factory alarm unit is with the car.

The cars were fitted with a turbocharged RB30 engine and stage 1 camshaft, producing 130kw, and were only available in manual transmission. Extractors, and 2.25" exhaust and an LSD were also fitted standard.
