This low km example of the BF GT Cobra is build number 078 of just 400 released. These were launched to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Moffat and Bond's 1-2 famous finish at the Bathurst 1000, and of course as a tribute to the 2-door hardtop Falcon Cobra coupe of 1978 - which itself had just 400 units produced.
The one was advertised through a dealer in South Australia, and we spotted it on carsales in February 2022 - see the original advertisement here. At the time, the car was asking $99,900. Possibly an appreciating asset in the longer term (but who knows what's going to happen with post-covid inflation)..
At the time of sale, the seller made the following comments:
"Presenting in Winter White with Blue Stripes and a charcoal coloured interior trim. Early servicing done by the delivering dealer, then by a Ford Dealer in Queensland, with the latest service completed by Jarvis Ford of Adelaide in September 2021. Powered by a 5.4 Litre V8 engine, it produced when new 302Kw and 540Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 6 speed manual gearbox. Performance suggested at the time was 0-100kph in 6.4 secs and a top speed near 250kph. Australian built and designed Ford Falcon GT's are no longer produced, so this car is becoming a tribute to Ford's past production in Australia. In manual, with a healthy V8 engine, it makes an appealing fast road car to enjoy."
