For sale: 1990 Lancia Delta Integrale 16V HF


There are only a handful of Lancia Delta Integrales in Australia, making this a particularly unique opportunity for the rally collector car enthusiast. This particular example was delivered new in Japan, then imported to Australia as a rally/race car. Like all 16v HF models, the car remains in its original left hand drive configuration, and the seller has retained the original factory seats which will go with the sale should the successful purchaser wish to return the car to factory specifications.

The Delta is widely regarded as the most successful rally car of all time, and dominated the sector in the late 80s and early 90s. The 16v Integrale was a significant improvement on several earlier 4WD performance variants of the Delta, including the HF 4WD and Integrale 8v. The introduction of the 16v Integrale saw immediate rally success, winning the 1989 San Remo Rally, and having numerous victories over the following two seasons. These cars are truly a thoroughbred rally car, where the road cars are actually related to the vehicles that competed on the track. For this reason, the Deltas continue to attract significant attention from collectors around the world.

This particular example is in very good condition, with no rust apart from a few small sealed and repaired spots around the front windscreen. The car was prepared by Maximum Motorsport of Australia for tarmac rally, or historic racing. However, the seller notes that the car has only completed in one 2-day tarmac rally since being prepared.

The car has a new Brad Stacey CAMS approved half roll-cage with all paperwork provided. It has brand new Cobra race seats, brand new Velo Hans 6 point harnesses, six brand new period 16 x 7.5 rims (similar style to the later “Evoluzione”), new custom stainless 3" exhaust, new aluminium radiator, adjustable coil-over suspension with new front Koni inserts, slotted rotors with near new Ferodo pads, 4 near new and 2 used Yokohama A050 tyres, upgraded turbo and Tanc Barratt chip, new long wheel stud conversion, new coolant hoses, new fire extinguishers, heavy duty clutch, Whiteline rear sway bar and new Rally Safe mounting kit. The car has always been very well maintained, all electrics are A1, and everything works - the alternator having also been reconditioned.

For sale: 1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega


Up for sale is an excellent example of the popular but rare classic, the Chevy Cosworth Vega. The Cosworth Vega is a limited edition performance version of the Vega, and production totalled only 3,508 units between 1975 and 1976 - a year before the Vega would be discontinued altogether. The engine of the Cosworth Vega is where the car gains the Cosworth name, with a twin-cam fuel injected Cosworth engineered top end, producing 110hp. In addition to being a powerful unit, the engine is nearly 60 pounds lighter than the engine fitted to the standard production Vega. This makes for an excellent performance package.

This particular car is build number 1715, of 3,508. The car has been in storage for the last 8 years, and has been repainted in its original black acrylic. The body presents in excellent condition with no rust or panel damage. Black was the only colour available on these cars in 1975. This example has the optional cloth inserts applied to the seats (the standard trim was full-vinyl black). The car of course retains its individually numbered Cosworth Vega plaque on the dash, within the beautiful gold dashboard fascia.

We spotted this GTS for sale on automart South Africa - and it appers to have th GTS flares, rear badge, yet 10 inch wheels. Something strange is going on with teh data plate where it appears to have a double print where the late GTS model code sits. It could be a modified 1275E - and the owner was not advertising it as a GTS. However, the 1144BA chassis number and the flares make us think it is. The 10 inch wheel would mean the disc brakes would have had to have been removed though... Anyone know the car and have any thoughts?

For sale: 1983 Leyland Mini 1275 E


The 1275 E was South Africa's farewell Mini model built between 1980 and 1984, with this particular example coming from the penultimate year of mini production in the country. Approximately 7,500 1275 E Minis were built, featuring the well respected 1275cc engine, and by the 1980s had a number of refined features making it a very comfortable classic, and a great way to get into the classic mini scene. These cars are becoming rare, and are popular exports to markets such as Australia, the UK and NZ where they are considered very unique.

This particular example is in excellent condition, having undergone a major restoration. A number of images showing the restoration process are included in the image gallery. The 1275 E sits on 10 inch wheels, with custom stripes and excellent pale yellow paint. A custom dash, retro radio, integrated speakers in the dash (and under the seat) and a great trunk fitout make for a practical classic. The red carpet is like new. 

The car's 1275cc engine has been fully refurbished. An electronic distributor has been fitted, as well as a temperature controlled fan sitting on the outside of the radiator. The wheels are fitted with 165/70R10 Khumo tyres with less than 200km usage.
