This is a beautifully restored example of the MK2 Ford Cortina 1600 GT. Red in color with black decals, factory Rostyle rims, black leather interior, and almost new tyre’s. It's ready for its new rare Ford enthusiast owner.

The car has been restored with lots of love and care. This is a genuine 1600 GT MK2. The engine was completely overhauled less than 5000km ago, with new pistons, big ends, mains, and the head was completely refurbished. The gearbox was also completely overhauled by "Gearbox Centre" in George. It has a fully stainless steel exhaust system, complete professional paintjob in its original red with black trim. The wheel bearings and brake system have also been reconditioned, as has the interior, with all gauges calibrated. This has been a 12 year restoration project.

Just 282 of these were made for the South African market. Currently, there is not another GT for sale in South Africa, and it's likely that there won't be one for a while (particularly to this standard). Only a few genuine MKII 1600 GT’s remain - they are VERY scarce, even on a global scale. I am asking R 300 000.00 (negotiable) for this beautiful car. A real acquisition for any collection.
