1962 Morris Mini Minor (850)

First Registered in Cape Town, January 1963, CA 112-605. Moved to Pretoria in 1980. Not drivensince December 1980. Bought by me end of July 2016. Stripped for restoration. Body badly rusted. All rust removed with new parts and repainted in Tartan Red (SD-9) and  Old Englsh White (WT-3). Engine stripped, cleaned and measured for wear (had been rebored 20 thou with new pistons, rings, bearings and oil pump. Reassembled with new gasket and oil seal kit. Both masrer cylinders resleeved witn new rubbers. All brake and clutch lines renewed. Suspension rubbers renewed. All brake wheel cylinders, hydraulic pipes and brake shoes renewed. Chromework replated, front seats recovered, rest of interior cleaned thoroughly. Runs very well, good oil pressure, no overheating, no oil leaks. Radiator was recore and new hoses and fan belt fitted. Also new plug leads, points, condensor and rotor. Rewired and changed from Positive to negative earth.
