1973 Ford Fairmont XB GS Hardtop coupe

There's something to be said for Australian muscle cars, particularly by the time the 70s rolled around and local designers gained more control over the vehicle styling. There's nothing quite like the XA/XB/XC coupes - really unique in their scale and presence. The closest thing in the US would be an AMC AMX, but it's not quite on the same scale. 

This Fairmont GS was advertised on Grays auctions in December 2022. The car looks to be in very solid condition, with factory 351 V8 engine and claims to have a mere 135,000km on the odometer. It's presumably been restored recently, with the paint and trim presenting very well in the images. 

With 5 days to run on the Auctoin, bids are just over $78,000 AUD. No surprises if this one jumps the 100k mark.
