1977 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Ti

This 1977 Alfasud is currently advertised on Ebay Australia, with an opening bid of $6,500 (AUD). The car appears to be in amazing overall condition for an unrestored example, with the seller noting it is 99% rust free.

The motor, however, is not original and has been replaced by a twin-carb unit from a later model (we presume the 1490cc engine introduced with the Ti from 1980). For the ‘originality’ conscious buyer, the seller includes the original engine with the sale (which we understand would be a 1.2l fitted with a single Weber twin-choke carby).

You could enjoy this as is with the power benefit of the twin carb engine, or if you’re a purist, bring it back to its original specification. As we haven't seen many in this sort of condition transact recently, we can't comment on where the price may end up. However, if a purchase could be made anywhere around that starting bid, it's not bad value for a car that needs little work.
