1986 Ford Telstar TX5 Turbo

This was a one owner first registered in New South Wales. I purchased this car with only minor damage which is hardly surprising for a car this old. Upholstery is new new. I have owned 3 of these cars. My first was the deep maroon/burgundy colour. Such a beautiful colour with the silver skirt. But white is majestic. These cars didnt come with inter-cooler back in the day. So after 37 years, I decided it was time to put some sting back into her. Chopping back 1200mm of intake tubing, I modified the air intake to incorporate an air-pod and built the original air sampler (MAF) into a new unit. I have had the cam worked to boot in earlier. The benefit being that it spools up quicker. Such simple inclusions and modifications have vastly improved the performance without ruining the authenticity of the car.
