1988 Saab 900 Aero Turbo 16

Spotted on trademe.co.nz (see link below) in October 2020, asking $15,250 NZD. The Saab 900 Aeros are becoming very collectable, and this is a very cool colour combination from 1988. At the time this car was advertised, the seller moted the following:

"Factory Aero in outstanding condition. Most moving parts have been either replaced or completley reconditioned in recent times Inc engine gearbox transaxle clutch brakes front suspension turbo cv joints rack boots hydraulic engine mounts starter alternator and much more. Bilstein shocks with Swedish Killen road springs, and 4 new Firestones have lowered and stiffened the car and produced superb handling. Engine behaviour and performance is very satisfying with plenty of torque & and practically no turbo lag. There are no worn or disfunctional items whatsoever needing attention, all fluids are fresh, the car drives tight fast & responsive like a new one. Bodywork has some silly little dings without paint damage but is straight with no accident history or rust. No sloppy door hinges or wiper spindles. All orig cosmetic items are present & sharp inside and out, dash is A1 with no cracks, headlining is new & carpets and leather are nice, heater is superb with new control valve, good modern stereo with CD, elect sunroof & windows central locking work well & the clock keeps correct time. The car receives comments about how immaculate it is but close inspection reveals original roof paint is finished and drivers door colour is slightly mismatched. Air conditioning is intact and operates but low on gas pressure. Don't be put off by the klm reading, it's actually below average and the overall reserve of mechanical condition is way above what a low klm car would be at 31 yo. without significant upgrade work.The last true Saab, this model is THE most desired by collectors worldwide..
