1992 Mazda Familia Gen 6 (BG) GT-X

These are very rare in Australia - I've only seen one other in this sedan form. This is the GT-X 4x4 (similar to the GTR Familia). There are a few hatchbacks around (some we have on the register), but there are very few sedans.. I suppose these are Mazda's competitor to the Subaru WRX / STi of the era (the GC8).

This one was advertised on Facebook Marketplace in December 2022, asking $14,800 (dropped from $20,000). Low Ks for its age, it has had a respray in black (seller notes that it was originally silver). The car was noted as having a rebuilt motor (standard bore was within tolerance). It has GTR rods and pistons, new rings, bearings, gaskets and seals and a new water-pump. Rebuilt VJ-20 Head fully serviced and new fuel pump. It has the standard inter-cooler New shock absorber mounts. Standard clutch Speedo reads 142,827 KMs. ABS + climate control as well.

A fairly comfortable modern classic - and an interesting / super rare alternative to the more common Subaru and Pulsar GTiRs.
