2005 Ssangyong Chairman H CM600S

A rare site, another Chairman up for sale in Australia, this one spotted online for sale in Sydney in September 2025. Looks to be well looked after, with the ad suggesting the seller is an enthusiast. The seller made the following interesting comments in the original ad:

If you are just after a chat about this car, then please see /read the below: Yes, it has does looks like a old Mercedes and have a Mercedes-Benz engine (M104 3.2L Inline 6 ) and transmission (722.6 5G-Tronic W5A 330 ) but if you want to buy a Mercedes-Benz, then please buy a Mercedes-Benz not a SsangYong. Based on my observation as owner of this car, I believe this is a copy of the w210 Mercedes Benz stretched to  5.135m and not a copy of w124 as claimed by alot of other motoring journalists.  I am the 3rd owner but if you do a ServiceNSW Search, it will show that there are only 2 operators as the 2nd owner did not get a chance to register it as he was still fixing it up for blueslip till he gave up. This is not a car with mass market appeal and I do not expect to sell it today as it will take some time to sell. If you are not buying but just curious and only wanted to see this wonderful piece of engineering & technical marvel which is the result of the 1991 SsangYong - Mercedes-Benz technical partnership, then I am happy to set aside an hour or two on the weekend for people who are curious to take a look  but no test drive allowed for this type of viewing.
