The car is a genuine MK2 Australian cooper S, and I know the car personally - and I know that know expense has been spared with its maintenance. This 1970 MK2 S has been advertised for a while on various sites - and it's one of few that are asking under $40,000 (at the time of sale, this was asking $34,000. It's supposedly an original S, but it'sunclear whether it retains its original engine (likely not).. Not too many up for sale at the moment. Check out the others on the register below.

it was restored in 1990 and must be restored .The current engine comes from a 1966 austin cooper S. The carburetor is a weber 40 dcoe. otherwise, it is entirely original

Spotted this MK2 S advertised on ebay.com.au in May 2019. Looks to be in excellent condition. The owner at the time noted that it may have been one of the cars restored at Mini & Moke World, Brookvale - was on their webpage apparently. Nice to see another Camino Gold MK2 example - a very rare Australian Cooper S withouly around 2,500 MK2s built. If you've got one, please add yours to the register...

classic cooper s going by the numbers i think it is one of the few cars made in the change over between mk1 and mk2 it also has the right gearbox for this.
