This Leyland Mini 1275LS was recently for auction on Ebay. The car is fully restored, and is one of approximately 800 cars produced. The owner of this car got in touch with us and has provided details of this rare LS for our register. This is one of very few Iridium Green 998 LS cars produced in 1977/1978 in the lead up to the release of the 1275LS. The current owner is now undertaking a full restoration of the car back to bare metal, and intends to restore it to its original specification. A few more images just added showing...

This is an interesting mini who's body may not in fact be an LS. The LS ID tag appears to be attached to the shell using aftermarket screws, and there do not appear to be flare backing panels extending down the front mudguard edge, suggesting that the shell may be a standard Leyland mini. This is the last 1275LS to be produced, and obviously the highest chassis number known. This car is quite well known, being located at the Birdwood motor museum Australian Motor Museum in South Australia. The car was donated by Leyland at the end of mini production. This 1275LS found found on Ausmini forums in 2014/2015 - the owner has now contacted us advising of the car's progress, having undergone restoration work since it was initially spotted, including rust removal, new paint, 1293cc engine, refurbished 8.4" disc brakes, new headlining and burr-walnut dash. This 1275LS was for sale in September 2015, located in Wollongong NSW. The car appears to have a variation of the Hi-Ho silver paint, with a sort of olive finish to it. Originally, the car would have been the standard Hi-Ho Silver. The engine is questionable.
