Spotted on BAT i 2024, this is Elton John's S500 coupe! This example sold for just under $30,000 USD (very cheap for such as significant vehicle - and of course the last of the best Mercedes Benz cars - the 140 series. Check out the others on the register below.

A nice low KM example of a late and very rare CL500 - this one was advertised on Shannons Auctions in Sydney in July 2023, and it sold for $28,000 which is a reasonably strong result.. We do expect these cars to be pushing 40-50k in the next decade as they are the ultimate S class coupe. This is one of only a handful that was Australian delivered for the 96 year.

This 1994 Series 1 S500 came up for sale in February 2023, asking $39,000. It's got relatively low mileage at just 189,000, and appears to have been kept in excellent condition. All the way over in Perth WA, this CL600 from 1997 would be one of perhaps just a handful of C140 V12s delivered new in Australia.
