This 850R was advertised on FB marketplace in early 2023, and finally sold by June 2023.. Originally advertised at $21,000, the price was reduced a couple of times and ended up at $15,500 -at which point it unsurprisingly sold quite quickly. It did need some mechanical work, but looks like a good car overall.. Good to see another rare RHD variant on the register.

And the Volvos keep on rolling in - despite the high Kms on this 850R wagoin, bids got to $11,350 AUD showing there is plenty of interest in this rare early performance variant of the Volvo - lowek K examples are up on the high teens or 20s.. 850 R Turbo Wagon, spotted on Facebook Marketplace in March 2022. Asking price at $20,000 at the time, but very few details given other than the seller noting that they have had the car for a long time, and are a family of enthusiasts.. A few of these have come up recently - this one has 170,000km, perfect paint and interior (according to the seller at the time), and just had 7k spent to get it back on the road (I would believe that..). Looks like she's had a tough life. It's odd to see one of these in this condition. Looks like it's spent most of its life outsiude, but hopefully at this price (asking 12K in May 2021 on gumtree Australia), someone might be able to save it! New paint and trim certainly necessary - engine might need a refresh as it's at 265,000km.. Still one of the coolest high performance wagons you can get...
