Spotted on trademe NZ in Decemnber 2018, this looks to be a fairly stock and clean example of the Turbo Familia GT-X. At the time of the ad, it was asking $7,000 NZD. Check out the other examples on the Mazda Familia GT-X register.
At the time of sale, the seller noted the following comments: Extremely difficult to find in this condition considering she is almost 30 years old. Exterior is in good condition, does have a few bumps and bruises but she cleans up well as per photos. Has both pillar strips which are always missing plus three mesh bumper. Most of the original gold pinstripe still in place but faded.
Interior is standard with the exception of a headunit, alarm and a boost gauge. No stupid holes or remnants of the early 2000s. Includes boot carpet and parcel tray, seats aren’t ripped.
She starts first pop, runs factory boost and doesn’t blow smoke. Goes exactly how it should and leaves a huge smile on your face. Gearbox is easy to shift and clutch is a standard replacement.
Has an after market manifold, exhaust, air filter, intercooler and Jamex springs. Comes with factory manifold, half a spare turbo, BOV and spare AFM. I have been unable to find factory intercooler, piping and airbox or it would be in the car. New battery, Oil, filter, coolant, spark plugs and gearbox oil a couple thousand KM ago. Run on 98 octane when rarely driven on a sunny day.
