It was only a matter of 5 years ago that you could get an LS project for under $10,000... Since then, prices have seen a steady rise for what was the last Australian built mini model launched, and aside from their tendancy to rust, arguably they were one of the finest of the minis built, with the 1275cc engine, 12 inch wheels (which looked more proportional partcicularly on the square front cars), and 8.4inch disc brakes (a first for the Aussie mini). This one was advertised on carsales.com.au asking $25,000 AUD. Quite an original car, which the seller stated to have owned since 1994, and the original engine was apparently rebuilt in 1996. The car has never been re-sprayed, and there was only one rust repair which was done to the left sill around 2005. Quite a time captule.
