This GTS2 was spotted for sale on an R31 forum in 2009, asking $10,000 (AUD) at the time. This is SVD build number 021 (of a batch of 200 GTS 2 cars produced). From the images, this one appears to be in a very good state - hopefully it has been kept that way by the next owner.
The Seller confirmed in their comments that this is a clean, original, unmodified GTS2. It was purchased by the previous seller in 2007, before being offered for sale in 2009 when we saw this. The seller explains that about $5,000 had been spent on the car, including the following work:
- New Coolant temp sensor
- New Injector Wiring
- New Genuine Nissan Thermostat
- New Rear Brake Discs including caliper rebuild
- New Lower rear trailing arms
- New Front door lock and central locking service
- New Genuine Nissan Oxygen sensor
- New Clutch Slave Cylinder
- The two-piece tailshaft has been fully rebuilt and balanced.
- The roof, boot and doors have been resprayed.
The seller confirms that this car is a factory manual, not an automatic which has been converted. All interior parts are included (MOMO steering wheel, gearknob etc). SVD tape deck is still in and working, Included in the sale was the original security card with the security code on it. Front speakers were replaced, but all original speakers and grills available with the car. Leather SVD pouch, SVD supplement, and owners manual were all included. The car does not have genuine fog lights.
The GTS2 was a follow up to the GTS1 of 1988, produced by Nissan's Special Vehicles Division, who built these cars at the same time that the Skyline was competing in the Australia Touring Car Championship. The GTS2 had the following features:
