Vary rare - last saw one of these in 2019 down at the Ballarat Swap meet! Never been a fan of the name "Sundowner", buy we have to live with it. A very cool edition which was available across a couple of falcon generations, as well as with the Ford escort van in Australia. They were available in a number of colours, but Yellow would have to be the stand out choice. There are estimates that there were only a few hundred of these XD Sundowners built - with a Unique Cars article suggesting that by 1980 the panel van scene had wound back a fair bit leading to a drop in sales..

This particular example was advertised on Facebook marketplace in December 2022 asking $39,000 AUD. It sat on FB for less than a week and was sold (final price unknown).. Goes to show that there is serious demand for the X Series Australian Fords now - so many have been lost to rust forever :(.
