This was one of the last HSV models to feature the Australian built 5.7L block. The engine Holden used in this mkII produced over 250kw and was quite powerful when compared to the lower 220kw of the series 1. This was almost a tribute to engine manufacturing in Australia as Holden shifted to a more streamlined supply model where it sourced its v8 engines from the USA. This car comes with matching numbers and a smooth running 4 speed automatic gearbox. This car has recently had a mechanical refresh with all belts, hoses and other perishables replaced. The rear main seal was also recently changed.
This car was for sale at the end of March 2017 for $9,000 AUD.
