1939 Halvorsen 36 ft Cruiser "Moonray"

Spotted on FB marketplace in Nov 2024, located in QLD, this was asking just $13,000 and looks to be a very complete boat that's recently been taken out of the water.. The seller noted the following comments at the time of advertisement:

"Moonray" is a 1939 Halvorsen 36. It was the first 36 ever built, and was never a hire boat. On the historical ships register used during WW2 and had Sunderland flying boat rest it's wing on her after losing a float on take off. Has been in the family for over 30yrs. Needs a refit which includes some dry rot in the cabin sides.decks in pretty good shape as well as frames and planking all solid. Needs recaulking engine is a 1954 ford Fargo diesel. Interior just needs a good clean. Galley has stainless bench tops, large 3 way fridge and gas cooktop and oven. Large eutectic fridge in saloon. Fuel and water tanks are s/s and in good condition. Boat has always been maintained by ex halvorsen shipwright up until around 5 years ago.
