This car was the mark of the start of the American pickup era. Over the previous couple of decades since the introduction of the pickup originally by Ford Australia, the pickup became more tame as the typical owner of these vehicles moved to the suburbs. unlike its european counterparts and much like every other American car the size of the F series of pickup trucks became bigger and bigger. This example of a 1956 F100 (Fords entry level pickup) is an example of when Ford was producing more civilised pickups that could fit in an average garage.
This example is in Australia (for sale for 23,900 AUD at the end of June 2017) and is in need of a complete rebuild and restoration. the vast majority of components come with the car but will need to be installed. This price is on the higher end of the market and you can easily get a better price in the domestic USA market where these cars are more plentiful.
