1964 Austin Mini Cooper S 1275cc (MK1)

This rare and early model 1275cc Austin Cooper S was offered through petrolicious.com in January 2017. Originally a British car, it retains its right hand driving position, and the seller has confirmed that the colour combination accounted for less than 100 of the cars built. The seller also confirmed that the car had major mechanical and body restoration work done in 2006. The US received the Austin Cooper S in relatively low numbers compared with other nations, and this is a great opportunity for an enthusiast in the US to grab an early piece of the Cooper S story. With a price tag at $50,000 (USD), you may think it's a bit steep, but original cars like these cars are headed well beyond this level in the next decade, and such an early example would prove a good long term investment.

A credit to Huseyin Erturk for the amazing photography!
