This is an early series 1964 model Studebaker Daytona Sedan, Built in October 1963, but sold as a 1964 model. This model followed the design changes from the previous generation Studebaker Lark Daytona, having a far more square / modern design. The Studebaker Daytona 4 door sedan was sold alongside a 2 door sedan (coupe), convertible and Wagonaire. This car would be one of very few remaining today, condidering the slow down in studebaker production at the time, as well as the fact that the Daytona was essentially a limited edition / top of the line model.
Being a pre 1965 car, this Daytona came with the Studebaker 289 V8 engine, rather than the Chev V8 as applied to 1965 cars (foillowing the closure of Studebakers engine plant in 1964). This makes the car one of the last vehicles to use a Studebaker engine. More pictures to follow.
