1965 Studebaker Daytona 2 Door Sports Sedan

This example, with only one photograph on the ad, was spotted on craigslist.com asking $1,500 in December 2023. The seller indicated in the description (copied below) that the car was quite solid - but it's certainly questionable given the way it presents. This is however a very rare 65 Sports Sedan Daytona - the penultimate Daytona 2dr from the Stude brand, with presumably the original paint colour "Strato Blue" showing through.. It looks too light to be "executive Blue" and too dark to be :"Laguna Blue".

We've now collected a big list of 1965 Studebaker Sports Sedans that have been spotted online over the last decade - this will be the 32nd car on our register!

Here's an extract from the original ad for this car:

1965 Studebaker Daytona and parts and engine from a 1965 Studebaker Commander.
My dad was going to restore the commander but a tree fell on it, so he bought the Daytona. The Daytona has the original V8 and he also pulled the straight 6 from the Commander. He has all the parts for restoring the Daytona including new factory seat covers and door panels. The Daytona only has body pitting on the lower door jambs. All the rest is just surface rust. He saved the hood, doors, trunk, etc from the Commander which has the same body as the Daytona. He is moving and the car and all parts have to go. Only $1500for everything.
