Although this particular example of the classic Camero is the mid range model featuring the 327ci engine it is being added to the register as it tells us a lot about the american car market in the late 1960s. This was Chevy's attempt to unthrone Ford and its extremely popular Mustang. Based on the GM F body platform the Chevy Camero featured the winning american formula, V8 up front and a lot of power at the rear wheels. This was Chevy's sports car replacement for the unpopular rear engined Corvair.
This is a genuine matching numbers car and is in great condition throughout. This has recently been restored to its former glory and retains most of its original body and interior panels. The photos speak for itself and is the big reason behind the $52,500 AUD price tag as of mid May 2017.
