1972 Datsun 240z Coupe

This Datsun 240z is a UK survivor, being extremely rare these days in the UK market.

The 240Z competed in many rally events and proved to be an extremely successful sports car on and off the track (noting in partucilar its performance in the Safari Rally of 1971). It combined european sports car performance and handling with the affordability, reliability and servicability of a Japanese car. This was a winning combination, and the 240z continues to be increasingly desirable around the world, noting the huge number of exports from the US and Japanese market that occur to satisfy the markets of Europe and Australia in particular, who received the cars in lower numbers.

This 240z was up for sale in 2014. If anyone has a 240z, I encourage them to add it to the 240z register which we can use this website for, in order to track the numbers / types of 240z that are still active around the world. In particular, if anyone has a very rare example (Fairlady z models etc), please sign up and add them to classicregister.com.
