1973 Holden Torana LJ GTR

One of Australia's finest automotive achievements, the LJ Torana GTR is one of the more rare models on the market. This model featured the 202 block from the Kingswood (3.3L engine in metric terms) which, for the size of the car was quite large. The Torana was released as a mid size car, a direct competitor to Ford's Escort range, these two cars from the competing manufacturers formed quite a competitive bond over the years.

This car has been sitting in the garage for the last 23 years. As you can see the paint has been re applied to the car and the body work is in very nice shape. This car featured a 302 Block that the previous owner had put in. The origional block and gearbox was given to the current owner when he bought the car in 1994. All the body work has been done and all that is left to do is the put the car back together. This car was for sale in April 2017 for $20,000 AUD, being sold with most parts and accessories including the aforementioned gearbox and motor.
