Rare enough in Australia, we've found an Aussie spec XC Falcon coupe for sale in the USA (see it here). According to the seller, less than two-dozen of these are believed to be in the States, and we can imagine they would receive a few confused looks over there. The XC Falcon was the last of the factory Falcon coupes, and today are highly desirable, with many choosing to make GT replicas.
This particular example is not the highly prized GT model, but has had a substantial amount invested in it with the clear intention being to produce a show car from the ground up. As a result, most of the car is not original spec (as we'd personally prefer it to be), but is clearly targeted for a buyer looking for something that needed no work and could be taken to the next SEMA show. It would certainly raise a few eyebrows, with many people in the US wondering what exactly it is. For reference, we've attached an additional image showing what one of the special edition Cobra versions of the XC model looked like in Australia.
At $79,500, it's certainly not a steal, and it's not to everyone's liking. But if you're the right buyer for this sort of thing, we're sure you could quite easily spend a lot more building an equivalent car.
