This is an 85 built (but presumably 86 model) TX-5 top of the range Turbo.. These have an 87 kW (117 hp) engine tied to a five-speed manual (not so impressive by today's standards but not too bad for back then - and being a 4 cylinder). This one popped up o Lloyds Auctions in Melbourne, Australi in April 2021.. Looks to be in great original condition, with fairly low Ks for that age at just over 200km on the clock. These 80s turbo fords are starting to come back in fashion, but I'd be more tempted by a TX-3 AWD turbo Ford Laser if given the choice.. Still, worth keeping a record of these high spec turbo fords from the 80s.. If you have one, add it to the register so we can keep the details of these classics alive.
