The Group A Rally GOAT - the Lancia Delta - this filan Evo II edition is the ultimate modern classic - we spotted it for sale on Lloyds Auctions in 2021, in Sydney Australia. In the original ad, the following was noted about the car:
"The Lancia Delta is one of the most revered and collectable rally homologations of all time. The original HF 4WD was based around the HF Turbo road car but gained four-wheel drive technology from the Group B monster S4. On the stages of the World Rally Championship, the car was competitive out of the gate and became the winningest rally car of all time claiming six Manufacturers Championships, four Drivers Titles, and 46 outright rally wins. It received much acclaim on the road also, consistently praised by journalists for its agility, sharp steering and tenacious grip - a great recipe for a back road blaster. The Evo II was the last version of the car, featuring uprated power (215hp) and a new ECU, and additional handling and appearance tweaks over the earlier Evo I.
This is a very fine and low mileage original example of a highly collectable car, ready for the next enthusiast to enjoy or collector to cherish, Import approval and Japanese De reg certificate with the car."
The car had bids up to $24,500 with 10 days to run - obviously it will get much higher - presumably 60K or so.. Can't find these in Aus...
