These mid-90s AMGs often fly under the radar, but represent good value for their performance and relative scarcity. Available with either a 3.6l 6-cylinder (as in the subject car) or a 4.3l V8, there were only limited numbers built of each version. In the case of the C36, only 5,200 units were produced. This was an effort to counter the E36 BMW M3, which was proving a very popular yet practical car at the time, having launched a sedan version in 1994. The hand-built engine of the C36 AMG delivers 206kw from the factory, accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and is electronically limited to 250km/h. Full electrics and luxuries of the time are provided, with this early example fitted with the 6-tape storage compartment in the dash.
The seller notes that this one is in excellent condition, being a non-smoker car with relatively low mileage for its age. No mechanical defects or issues are noted, with engine and transmission all in good working order, and the car handles perfectly. The images provided present the car as immaculate, and it's evident that it's been well looked after. See this one here on Ebay USA. This auction will provide a good market value test for these cars in good condition.
