2003 Holden Astra SRi Turbo

Only the second one added to Classic Register - this one a little rougher than the first example: These are now quite rare cars (or always have been in Australia) , beinhg the top performance model in the Astra range, and a great performance hatch of the early 00s.. Astra had already gone the Turbo route whereas many other makes had stuck with the NA 2.0l engines, meaning these little rockets were more than competitive, and one of the best looking cars around at the time (still are to an extent).

This one has relatively high Ks on the clock at over 250,000, and the paint looks like its seen better days. Still saveable, and the seller noted that the car has been tuned and has dyno papers confirming it runs about 10 to 14psi, so should give a fair bit above standard power (not that I think you really need much more unless you're into competition). Great value at the time, asking just $5,500 - but looks like it needs a tidy up.
