There are only a handful of these in Australia, with this example most likely imported from the UK early on in its life as the body is very good for a British market car. It appears to have been last registered in QLD as late as 2014. When my late father bought it, it was absent an engine. According to the VIN, the car would have originally been fitted with a 1098cc unit. For additional cost, we can provide a 1098cc long engine and any spare parts you need.
This is the "Estate" version of the Clubman van - a factory 4-seater car that was sold in the UK and some other markets, and was effectively the later mini "woody" wagon, with fake wood trims down the sides of the car. The Australian Square front vans were never offered in this configuration, making it quite a rare car on Aussie roads, and very practical having the rear seats which also fold down so you don't lose the benefit of the van back.
The body condition is very good for this sort of car. Part of the front floor pans have rust (but only sections). The sills are very good. There are some spots at the base of the A-pillar and doors (as shown). Floors overall look excellent, as does the roof and gutters. The body is very straight. Limited rust work required compared to the average mini project, that's for sure.
I am down at the shed periodically on weekends. I've had a number of messages about inspecting the car this Saturday late morning, so if you do want to take it off the market I will need a deposit.
