Advertised on trademe.co.nz in December 2017, this very rare 1071cc Cooper S is in amazing condition, nd has appeared in magazine articles. The seller had co owned the car since 1978. It was restored in 1984 100% all original body panels as it left the factory no rust or crash damage, continuous registration history from 1964 with English number plates and shipping paper work from 1966 from first owner with the car ,it has only 4 owners all from Palmerston North ,was 
photographed and published in English MINIWORLD in 2002 ,have fitted the correct brake booster and brand new NOS correct aeg163 head onto the car 5 years ago,as it was restored in 1984 all parts fitted were genuine factory supplied from NZMC when i worked there, not repo stuff they make now, 
there is a couple of things in the wrong position ,eg voltage regulator and air vent hose under the booster but it was nearly 35 years ago , there is a spare 1071 engine with the car all trim is original factory that came with the car except for the new english carpets, there were only approx 2000 austin cooper S 1071cc produced so are very rare and this was near the end of the production run before the 970cc and 1275cc came along .
