One of only 703 1964 Daytona convertibles built - this car was offered for sale through Happy Days Dream Cars at some stage around 2012 (estimated). It is absolutely immaculate, and largely all original, coming with original documentation as shown in the images. At the time, the seller made the following comments:
"It has only 13,198 original low miles, it still retains the factory original paint, drivetrain, interior and even the top (Miraculous condition for 50 yrs old!). The only thing that has been replaced on this car are the tires and battery (Possibly oil and gasoline too!)! Included with sale is the original owners guide, the original accessories manual, and build sheet (retrieved from the Studebaker National Museum), and factory paint code label! This Daytona was made during the last few days of production at the South Bend Plant in December of 1963. Because of the announcement of plant closure, many Studebaker orders were cancelled for fear of lack of dealer support and this car was a cancelled order and ended up being a Studebaker executive car for a few years. Here you have all the desirables rolled into one car: (1)Low Production, (2)Convertible, (3)A Studebaker (one of the “orphan cars”), (4)Last Year of US Studebaker Production, (5) A True Unmolested Survivor, (6) Low Mileage, and (7) Documents. As the old song goes, “Who could ask for anything more?” “Invest today” certainly applies to this well preserved STUDEBAKER!
Features, Options and Accessories:
Engine/Drivetrain: (Previous owner relays under the hood is original to the car with the exception of the new battery).
