This is another rare Australian Morris Cooper S from 1969. This is the last of the MK1 Australia Cooper S Minis, in one of the best colour combinations, burgundy on white, with contrasting red interior. This car is one of around 4,800 MK1 cars produced (and of course there are far fewer around today).
The sellers claim that the car has been repainted, and re-carpeted, but has not been restored. Many people now try to preserve unrestored cars, doing as little as possible to keep them as original as possible, as the original examples are often demanding prices as high as showroom restored examples. Notably, this car has its wheels painted in white (similar to the British cars), whilst originally would have had silver wheels. This Cooper S was for sale on "Affordable Classics Australia" in April 2016, and we would expect it to sell in the mid to late $20,000 AUD mark.

If you own a Cooper S, please add it to the site. We would love to see more on display so we can learn more about those that are still out there.
