1976 Triumph Dolomite Sprint

This is the first Dolomite on the register. This example looks pretty good and has an aftermarket paint job (original yellow can be seen in the trunk). At the time of offering, the seller made the following comments:

976 Australian-delivered Triumph Dolomite Sprint for sale, Adelaide. Chassis VA17125DLO.

Lots of work done in my 2.5 years of ownership. Recently back on road after head professionally rebuilt but old timing chain has snapped. We had a visual look for cam/valve damage (without taking anything apart) and the head and associated parts seem to still be fine (but always would encourage your own viewing).

Would obviously need an oil flush and new chain - and I have lost interest (wanting to go back to gravel cars).

The car has:

- Four-piston vented front brakes from Compbrake, UK. Rebuilt master cylinder. Reconditioned rear drums with new slave cylinders and linings.

- GAZ height and damping adjustable shocks all-round

- Fully reconditioned cylinder head (this year)

- Rear mount battery and fuel cell with new electric fuel pump

- Original front seats (probably need rebuilding) but SAAS seats, rails and harnesses thrown in

- Electronic ignition kit, new coil, leads, distributor cap

- New engine mounts

- Rebuilt starter motor (lightweight high-torque starter also available as a spare)

- Electric fans

- Spin-on oil filter conversion

- Push button start

The chassis and body are largely sound. Small rust spot on a rear panel.

Older paint over the original yellow, black crackle painted roof - would have been next thing on my list to tackle. Driver's door a bit sticky.

New head and inlet gaskets, exhaust gasket added and new exhaust flange gasket. Uniflow air filters and velocity stacks.

Box of bits and pieces to sort through as well (new alternator, driver's door card, original airbox, spare wheel, ignition barrel, bumper overriders, original front discs and calipers, steering rack bushings etc).

Car is worth more as parts but want to sell it as is. Currently on SA club reg, non-transferrable. Would need a trailer/truck to take away.

Looking for offers over $7000. DM me if interested.
