1988 Nissan Skyline R31 Silhouette GTS1 (SVD)

This is a particularly interesting project which we have included on the GTS1 register - considering that this car was made from a donor car (number 81), and has its build plate and parts applied to create an Rg1 GTS1 Wagon! A shame that the original sedan was ruined and had to be parted out, however, we are glad that it ended up being re-born - this wagon conversion actually looks pretty cool, and it's great to have it together so we can keep number 81 alive. Would be great to see someone finish the manual conversion  - as parts to do so were included in the sale in 2014.

Some of the modifications undertaken to this car were noted when it was advertised by the seller in 2014, asking $3,800 AUD. These modifications included:

  • GTS2 Extractors
  • GTS1 Front Struts/brakes
  • Whiteline Strut brace and sway bars
  • Lowered Aurora Springs with Monroe GT Shocks
  • GTS1 lower lip spoiler
  • GTS1 front bar
  • GTS1 Grill
  • GTS1 Door moulds
  • GTS1 Rear bar
  • GTS1 Centre console
  • GXE Rear Wagon tail lights with Garnish
  • GTS1 Sticker kit
  • GTS1 Glove box badge (Number 115)
  • GTS1 Build plate (Number 081) - the GTS1 donor car which all parts came from..
  • GTS1 Wheels re-powdercoated White
  • Brand new Nankang 215/55 R16 tyres
  • Silhouette Steering Wheel
  • Comes with Roof Racks
  • Full GTS1 Manual conversion (Pedals, box, flywheel, tailshaft, Clutch, Clutch booster)
  • GTS1 Cluster with oil and altimeter gauge
  • Hayman Reese Towbar

For those that don't know it, this wagon is based on an Australian special edition Nissan Skyline R31, known as the GTS1 Silhouette. All the GTS1 cars were painted white. Some of the visually distinguishing features of the car included 16" white powder coated 11 spoke wheels, rear spoiler, unique SVD / Silhouette decals and sports cloth interior - along with the unique badging. The cars were fitted with a turbocharged RB30 engine and stage 1 camshaft, producing 130kw, and were only available in manual transmission. Extractors, and 2.25" exhaust and an LSD were also fitted standard.
