This is the second AMG Wide Body 6.0 Mercedes on Classic Register. This one was offered for sale by RM Sotheby's in January 2016, with credit to them for the fantastic photographs of the cars. Click here for their auction website.

The 560SEC itself is an amazing car, but this, we believe is one of the most unique Benz cars you can ever own, and comes from an era where quality of construction was unparalleled. This version of the 560 SEC was introduced in 1990 (with a build year listed in 1989 in this case). With significant modifications by the AMG factory, it produced twice the torque at half the revs of the standard 560 SEC engine. 

There was initially a plan for 100 units of these vehicles to be produced, however, it is thought that fewer than 50 were actually built. If anyone has further information on this, please comment below, or contact us so we can include this information. The advertisement for this car also notes "It is also believed that only six such vehicles were ordered by private collectors and museums in Japan".
