Build number 002 was offered through Lloyds Auctions in December 2021 - when we saw this advertised it had bids at $106,000 AUD with 10 days remaining on the auction clock.
One of only 302 units built, this is car numbered 002. This was HSVs Group A racing car, and famously competed in the Australian Touring Car Championship, including the Bathurst 1000 event. As the last of the Group A cars, these represent a very special and unique collectable, designed to go up against the mighty Skyline R32 GTR, and Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth, among others. Huge price rises have been seen in recent covid times for these modern classics..
The advertisement for this one stated: "Only two owners, the current owner has owned since 1994. A very low genuine 36,358km on the clock. The vehicle is virtually all original apart from an aftermarket Exhaust and chip. The car comes with original books, service history, 2 sets of keys and a Certificate of authenticity from HSV."
