Up for sale is our 1964 Thunderbird hardtop. We've had the car for 14 years, having imported it from the US. Of course, all import paperwork/approvals come with the car. The car is a 'Tudor Hardtop', built at the Wixon assembly plant in Michigan, and was originally delivered new to New Orleans, Louisiana.
Originally delivered in a two tone paint finish (White over Dark Green (code SM)), the car has at some stage undergone a restoration while in the US, and was repainted all-white. The current paint job is quite aged but presents OK, with some touch-ups required.
The black vinyl trim is in excellent condition, with only a few minor splits present. The roof lining has a small cut in the rear left A-pillar, but is otherwise great.
There is a bit of surface rust evident in areas, but the sills and structural areas appear very solid (refer to pics). As you'll see from the images, the trunk floor is intact but has suffered from rust (as is very common in this model due to the plastic trunk mats trapping moisture). Overall the car is better than others I've seen - and these panels are readily available and fairly simple to replace if you wished to make it perfect.
The car runs and drives, but is unregistered. The car has been part of a large collection, and has not been on the road since it was imported. The odometer shows approx. 83,000 miles, which is consistent with the vehicle's overall condition. The car comes with its original log books and a copy of the US owner's certificate of title.
