This rare MK2 Australian Cooper S was advertised on Donington's Auctions in late Nov 2025, with a price guide above $40,000. The website listing gave an interesting history/background to the car: It was originally sold to a family in Blayney (NSW) – near Bathurst,, and was serviced locally by Don Bell Motors. The car was in the same family ownership until 1998..

Haven't added a Cooper S for a while, and this example was asking $32,000, located Melbourne, VIC, and looks to be a very solid original MK1 Cooper S, in a brilliant combo of burgundy over white (which may be its original paint).. Unsure of the car's numbers, but all visuals suggest it's a genuine Cooper S.. Very nice to see they are still around!
