You don't often see them with this kind of mileage, but hey they will do it happily. 382,000km on the clock of this Australian delivered 140 series Mercedes S500 coupe - which in uly 2021 was asking $18,500. Original Owner since December 1967. Purchased new wat Fuller Ford in Cincinnati Ohio. Last year GT 500 was built in Los Angeles.

This is one of 1800 legendary Fairmont GT's sold in South Africa during the period 1970 to 1973. My Fairmont gave me excellent service since 1972. The car was utilised in Namaqualand which is a semi-desert area in South Africa and is therefore without any rust. Modifications made were a chromed air cleaner and chromed tappet covers. Auction bargain from a while back spotted on Graysonline - this one looks like it sold for less than $2,000 Australian. It looks a little bit rough, but the price was right.. One of my favourite NA hot hatches of the earlu 00s. These were very popular in their day, using the Evo engine block, but of course non-turbo, but did have their handling tuned by lotus. Another Nash healey restoration project - the third on classic register. This one is a later (1955) coupe, with the angled rear pillar (which I think looks a bit more stylish than the first iteration of the coupe). By the look of the dash, the car may have been a light green in coloue. Hopefuly this car will find someone willing to put the cash into it, and get it into top running condition again...
