I haven't seen a CL500 series II car come up for sale for about 18 months. The drought is broken, with this nice low km example asking $20,000 AUD in February 2025. This is the first of this unique purple burgundy colour I've seen. I have seen similar AMG style rims on other very late model cars (some of which are on the register). There being so few of these coming up, it leads me to believe that they must have been fewer than 100 series 2 (i.e. 1996 onward) 140 series CL500s in Australia. Very rare indeed - certainly rarer than their predecessor the C126. Great to see another still out there in a rare colour.
